At last count, we are at 14 donated pies.

Oh. Here's the pies:

Rocky (the "Rock" of SageRock) has recently been volunteering with The Salvation Army here in Akron Ohio.

She has been helping serve lunch to the homeless and needy on Mondays.

In her volunteering, she learned that while The Salvation Army is serving Thanksgiving Day dinner, they have no pies. 

They have all the other fixings. But for one reason or another, they didn't have any pies.

So, she decided that wasn't right and purchased the pies. 

She needed pies for 200 people. The pies she bought could be cut in small enough pieces so that each pie could make 10 slices. Therefore, that meant she needed 20 pies. Each pie cost $8. (Doesn't this sound like one of those story problems you did in school? So children, how much money did Rocky need?)

Here's the answer: She needs 20 pies for a total of $160.

Here's where we all come in. 

She would like all of our help.

Would you be willing to buy a pie for The Salvation Army? 

What I'm asking is: Will you donate $8 so that 200 people that don't have a home, that don't have anywhere else to go on Thanksgiving will have pie for Thanksgiving?
